Hi Teresa, I have heard some stroke survivors talk about difficulty with opening/closing their eyelids before. One patient had the problem of not being able to close his eyelid. I don’t know any specific treatments, but I imagine that it could get better with practice. I know you can’t open your eyelid, but just the intention of trying to move it can help. I would also highly recommend seeing an optometrist and talking to your neurologist about what’s going on, especially if it’s rapidly getting worse! Please be safe.
